Week 17- Posted by Yvonne on 12/12/2018, 8:58 am Good morning: I'm just posting to keep my mind focused on what I need to do. Our Tree is up and decorated. I finished sipping my Cambridge and I will be waiting for the Geek Squad to come and look at my computer. I don't know what the future will bring, but I am trying to dictate what I want out of it by being healthier.

No one will be here for Christmas and we are too broke to buy each other presents. Andy even hung the outside lights, much to the detriment of his arthritic knees and hips.Personally, I would have been ok giving Christmas a pass this year. Going in to the New Year already having all that progress under your belt has got to feel empowering!

And, trust me, NO ONE has the resources or money to afford Christmas and all that it entails. But, for me the spirit of Christmas and this time of year is something special and should be cherished and celebrated (with or without material gifts and such). I'm sorry to hear about Andy's knees, but think of the magic and beauty of the season. I know I sound like a little kid but it only comes once a year and for me without the blessings of our Lord, Jesus Christ, I would be a much different person. I'll stop preaching for now, but I still think it was worth it to have your tree and decorate it in the name of the season. It's not the presents but the spirit of love and hope. Yes, I feel much better going in to 2019. However, my husband needs yet another surgery and I am nervous about that. But, I know I will keep getting strength from "The Big One". MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Non-medical person that I am, I can't imagine what more needs done to your long-suffering husband.Let's give the dear guy a break already! That being said, they are medical professionals so I think they must be thinking your husband will be the better for it. Big hugs!
