Tomorrow will be the end of week 1. I am feeling better. Yes, I weighed myself and I will record tomorrow mornings weight in my journal, as a marker to remind me to keep goin'.-I will continue to weigh in but not as often. Some people will weigh in 3 or more times per day, and for them it becomes an obsession. The chart provided in the last post reminds us that the body water weight fluctuates from hour to hour and day to day. It also states we are better off to have another way to measure weight loss success. I have learned that a tape measure regularly used, is a great tool. Even the position of the moon can effect your weight due to gravitational pull, as it also effects tides. Scales can mess with your head & discourage but only if the scale numbers are given that kind of power by the person who uses it. I have the power to effect change and knowing that I do not let the numbers mess with my head. I have noticed that if I do not weigh myself when dieting then psychologically it becomes a free for all. I become the "bratty 4 year old"- I can eat what I want because I don't have to look at the scale ![]() Week 1 was a struggle- 6 pounds gone and I will keep goin! There is no other path to follow!
