The water damage and cleanup are covered under our homeowner's insurance. However, the insurance company is dragging its feet with respect to getting things going and I can't live like this (no kitchen, no bathroom, no utility room).

So, I told the contractor to start and I'll take care of the insurance company. Now, I am up to my ears in dust, new sheetrock, paneling, toilets, vanities, flooring. It is really a nightmare. But, it's getting done.
