I'm going to see David Foster in concert tonight in New York.
I took some time to count EVERY single calorie yesterday. I was shocked at how many "lost" calories I have been consuming, from Splenda, mushrooms, Liquid creamer for my tea to 1/4 cup of peas in my tomato soup. It DOUBLED the 440 calories I "thought" I was consuming.
Boy! What an eye-opener. Today, I'm definitely more aware of what's going into my mouth.

Wow...that's shocking! We really do underestimate the calories we consume, and then wonder why we stall in our weight loss. Every calorie counts. I like the term "lost" calories. Mindless eating at it's best! We all are susceptible to falling in to habits that can stop our progress. A nibble here and there...overdoing the so called "free foods" thinking they truly are free! If it has a calorie, your body knows it and either uses it or stores it.
Good lesson for us all Yvonne. Thanks for sharing.
