Yesterday, I stumbled with a salad, but I am determined to be absolutely true today with sole source. Once my taste buds get going, there is no stopping them --- whether I am hungry or not.
Anyway, here's to another successful day.
Don't let anyone tell you that this losing weight stuff is easy because IT IS NOT!!!! So, steel yourselves and gird your loins. Your mind has to be the strong leader in this and not your appetite.
You're correct. The difficulty or ease of weight loss is 100% mental. Most people see it as a physical challenge to control their cravings and hunger, but our thoughts guide how we react to stimuli in every aspect of life and food is a biggie. My emotional reaction to food is a world apart from what it used to be. I used to be ALL emotions with food! Doing Cambridge for me was like grieving the death of my best friend...no joke. Now it is barely a blip. It took time and reconditioning, but food doesn't excite me anymore. I can enjoy it, but it no longer calls to me.
I have total respect for anyone that loses weight, or quits smoking, or any other addiction or habit. Denying ourselves that which gives us comfort or distraction or sedation is HARD...but the longer we do it, the easier it gets until it is the new normal.
