94 days to go Posted by Yvonne on 4/28/2018, 8:44 am Good morning, everyone! Today is another day to lose some weight. I am ready to sip my Rich Chocolate shake and get on with the day. I'm feeling a little alone here on the Board, but what the heck. I came into this world alone, will go out alone and I have made myself chubby alone. So, I need to SIU (Suck it Up) and keep moving. Pam gives me motivation. Have a lovely day everyone!

We had a flurry of activity a little while ago and then it suddenly went quiet again. I can see on my analytics that there are daily visitors so technically you are not alone

Those that "visit" might as well not be on the Support Board, because there is no support from them. But, I really appreciate you soldiering on despite the dearth of posts and interaction. I know this Board (the fact that it exists) helps me TREMENDOUSLY. Those who do not contribute their experiences in a journey that is so difficult really are of no assistance to me. But, just like most people, you can't force folks to reveal themselves if they are not ready to do so. Today, so far, so good! I just keep telling myself, "You are going to adhere to SS "NO MATTER WHAT!!" And it's working so far. Thanks again, Pam. You don't have to pay for this Support Board or even give us the benefit of your wise and sage advice. But, you do. Thank you!

For whatever reason, people just don't gravitate to message/support boards like they used to. Too much competition with other social media outlets is my guess. I am going to try a couple of things to see if I can drive some traffic here and encourage activity. I have a huge customer base and I wish I could shoo all my lambs in to the pen! lol! As long as there are folks that need this board, I will keep it going. Even if they are just searching for that moment when it suddenly "clicks" and they can get in the groove. Whatever purpose it serves is good enough for me. So if 20 years from now you are wanting to lose a few...I'll be here!

The dictionary says of the word "Support:" To undergo or endure, especially with patience or submission; tolerate. To sustain(a person, the mind, spirits, courage, etc.) under trial or affliction: Support is not a word that can be defined by,"Must Help Others" Yes, support for others but also support for ones self. I lost the love of my life, there are days that I can hardly take a deep breath. Those day, nope, not gonna support anyone, but I know Pam will be here if and when I need it.. And, she too shows how human this board is. I have been on this board for a very long time. There is no judgment here. Taking and giving support as needed. Quiet for days, weeks or months. Sometime taking, some times giving. But when Pam says she can see people that "visit" I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the heart that Pam used to start this board so many moons ago IS WORKING. Woman are so full of emotions, (Thank you Jesus) and because of that, we can fluctuate in consistency of "feelings" The support that comes from this support board for so very long, is not necessarily for the "Winners" But for those struggling. Those that don't have an ounce of "Rah" in them at this time, and don't know if they ever will. But they still come to the place that Pam has "Left the light on" for them. For me. Pam, you my dear are more than welcome to delete this post. I don't mean to be disrespectful. I am not pointing any fingers. But If just going on a support board, just to tell of our positive progress of losing weight,there wouldn't be a need for a support board, and there would be very few over weight people. And there are those (Hi neighbors) that need every fiber of their being to hang onto, to be able to hang in there, and selfishly just can only focus on themselves. Just like in the airplane, put on your oxygen mask first, or you can't help others. And I think Pam makes that OK for us all. I'm so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine the magnitude of your grief. I have no need to take down this post. I love the feelings and thoughts you shared here. I've learned the many ways people use this board. It's changed over the years. People don't rely on message boards like they once did. Other social medias have pushed them to the back of the pack. But when I see that there are people checking in but not posting, that doesn't bother me at all. Of course, I would love to have it active, but I understand that we all go through cycles when it comes to weight loss and the truck load of emotions that are connected with it. As long as it is serving a purpose and a source of support and encouragement in whatever way it can, I will keep it up and running. The cost now is not bad and it's a write off for me. My goal has always been simple. I just want others to experience the joy I did when I lost my weight. It was the door opening to the life I now have. It was hard and complicated and a test of endurance, but it was also exciting and empowering and freeing. I wish I had the magic answer to give to each of my clients to make this nothing more then a simple process from A to B, but we each are challenged to find our own way through this labyrinth. Hopefully this board acts like a porch light for people to find their way when they are ready to start, or begin again. The nearest I can figure out, there are about 10 or so friends that check in here on the board at least once a week. I don't see names or anything identifying other then city and state and that is on my website analytics that shows ALL my website traffic. I can see the pages they view and I'm always happy to see a Support Board visitor! Thanks again for expressing your feelings. I do appreciate it.

I think that is a fabulous idea. It's more than the cost for me, it's the home I can come to in order to hear and read Pam's advice about losing weight. She did it!!! I'm just trying to ge there. This Board with the experience and wisdom of Pam has allowed me to "just keep going". So, thank you, "Me". Thank you, Pam.

You were not put on this earth to be miserable and depressed. This is a prison you are not meant to be in. Lets bust you outta there!!!

I started getting on the scale 4 weeks ago. I don't know what I lost in the first 8 weeks but the last four weeks I have lost 12 lbs. I can't really exercise much because I have a bad hip.

Second, I can't exercise either because of my recent ankle tendon surgery repair and reconstruction. I hope your hip improves with the weight loss, much like I am hoping to improve my bad knees (and ankle). Congratulations on your weight loss thus far. I have so much to lose, but I can't fret about it or else I will just be so forlorned that I won't do anything. Again, just keep going. That's all we can do. I hope your hip feels better.
