Back among the living...I think Posted by PamT on 5/15/2018, 12:16 pm Sorry I have been MIA. I ended up getting this horrible stomach virus that is making the rounds. I had been feeling under the weather while in MD but assumed it was travel and sleep deprivation related. Evidently not. I got walloped with a few days of misery. Today things are better, but I'm as weak as an over cooked noodle. Hope you have all been making some progress. Even though a lot of us are under gray skies right now, the warmer days are here and the progress we make today will be greatly appreciated during those early days of hot summer weather.

I can only imagine that with a stomach virus, there was a lot lost via your GI tract and with that a loss of weight. So, you may be ahead of the game. Wishing you the best.

I am a total homebody, introvert, and quiet person. I know it doesn't seem that way, but I am. But I do have family out of state and drive to see them Not as far as you had to drive Pam, About half of that. But coming home after being out. Even yesterday, picking up a prescription, then grocery store then ATM banking and home. Less than an hour. (I made a rectangle, Left, left, left, left) So happy to be back home. Question.... Does Florida even have a "Summer Season" Ha! My brother is a retired homicide Captain. He lives in Florida. He is always rubbing it in. Sending "Screen prints" of the weather report. Keep us posted on how you are feeling, More healing prayers going up for you and for Kim. (Hugs)

We have made this humble little house a comfortable cozy place and we could hardly wait to get back here. Florida's summers are not what most people think. It does get warm to hot, and yes it is the humid part of the year, but it is also our rainy season with lots of thunder storms. We also have a winter season. We even get down in to the low 30's here. Typically though, it is the best time of the year. Temps in the low 70's, low humidity, blue skies, it truly is the best time to be here which is why we have so many "snowbirds" that come down to escape their miserable winters. These houses will stay empty all spring and summer, but come end of fall they start heading south to their winter homes. I grew up in S California so I didn't experience much of any kind of winter. Then I lived in Utah and at first I loved the snow and cold, but then as I got older the cold became too much.
