Yep, it's been a week! The the first time I feel as if I can do this——despite all the challenges ahead of me. Memorial Day, 44th wedding anniversary, social annual lunch meeting, my daughter's birthday, Independence Day, Jazz cruise on the Hudson, Newport Jazz Festival are all waiting for me to mess up. But, unlike the years before, these are only one day events and hopefully, I can withstand the pressure to nosh and eat and stuff myself.
Today, I am still going to try to plant my tomatoes, basil and cucumbers as well as my annuals. That will keep me busy hopefully. Keep sipping!
Good luck, folks!

Looking at your list of upcoming challenges, I am impressed by the fact that you have so many positive and enjoyable events to look forward to. Yes..there will be food...but there will also be family and fun and celebrating and music and so many good things! I believe you will be able to focus on all these wonderful experiences while keeping food in the background where it belongs. In the big picture, it really is the least important factor.
Since these events are annual ones for you, at least you know pretty much exactly what to expect which makes it easier to be prepared. Just think..next year you can be attending all these same events at your goal weight!
From your lips.....

I sincerely hope so! People are getting tired of hearing that "I'm trying to lose weight". As Yoda says, "There is NO try." You DO.
Well, the house is full of repairmen, plumbers, handymen for upgrade of the security system and it is a mess. I'm trying to plant my garden, but I can't get to it because of all the wires and tools.
