How did you do through the 4th and all the celebratory foods and such? It can be hard to say "No" when everyone else is saying "Yes"!
It's in the past now so no matter how the day went for you diet wise, today is a new day and we have a couple of holiday clear months to make some serious progress.
Here is a suggestion...disregard if you don't agree.
It may be a good time to set some short term goals. You can make it for whatever time seems right for you. The important thing is to make it an attainable goal so you can be programming your brain with successful reinforcements. If that means a week, or a day, or even an hour by hour goal, commit to it 100%. Have a "no excuses" policy. Discipline is a necessary requirement of achieving and maintaining success. We may have it in every other area of our lives, but our food issues may still be chaotic. It's a project for sure.
So think about it, choose a goal, share it here if you life, focus and commit with confidence and maybe even choose a mini reward (non food of course! lol) to pat yourself on the back.
Pam I am going to really try hard and make it to my birthday which is in October..I will be 50but I know its just a number..Praying for Yvonne hope things turn around for her husband..placing a order tomorrow.. Take care Barbara
50 was just about my favorite of all birthday years! So many things fell in to place for me at 50. I felt healthy and really engaged with life. My kids were grown or almost grown and I was dating and meeting people. Lots of fun! lol!
I remember when Oprah turned 50 she said it was the best year of her life. Now, I won't compare my life to Oprah's, lol, but I have to say that we had this in common.
I hope this coming birthday is the beginning of the best decade of your life as it was for me.
