Setting Goals - Day 2 Posted by MaryL on 9/19/2018, 11:17 am Every night I write in my diet journal. My journals date back to 2010 or 2011!I think it does help me to write down my success AND the failures for the day so I can hopefully learn from them. In all these many years I haven't reached my goal weight- A healthy BMI of around 25 or below would be wonderful but I would be happy to have a BMI of 30 to 35. My BMI is at or above 50 at this time and that is very unhealthy! In the past attempts at weight loss I feel that there is something inside me that has blocked my progress. I need to get at the root cause of this obstacle in order to rise above. This time in writing down my thoughts and feelings in the journal I began setting daily goals such as- water intake, cleaning a specific area in the house, sorting clothes to donate, etc. This allows me to change my focus. I especially like that it is not only diet focused, but including all areas of your life that you want to improve and be mindful of. After all, it really is all connected, don't you think? I know when I feel more organized in my home or business, I feel better overall about everything else. I see your next post from last night titled "HUNGRY" below so I'm going to go read that one. Hopefully today is a better day for you.

I could eat a cheeseburger or what sounds better to me -steamed broccoli! I had FFL Super oats for breakfast- FFL Potato Soup for lunch, and a Dutch Chocolate Original Shake at 530 pm. I can have another half or full serving of the original shake before I cave and have something off plan. Everyone have a good evening.

Not enough water....all that drinking and swallowing from the colonoscopy prep ,the yanking on my neck at the beginning of the anesthesia and the gloomy weather may have something to do with it. I'll work to improve my water intake.
