ZUMBA!!! Posted by Yvonne on 11/11/2018, 8:44 pm Well, I joined a Zumba class today and it liked to kill me!!! I could only handle 15 minutes before I started to sweat, pant and just crumble. Those other ladies (fat and skinny) were just jumping around and keeping up with the instructor while I was barely moving. I thought that my walking in the park, exercycling and abdominal exercises were putting me in shape. OBVIOUSLY NOT!!! I will not be defeated, I am going to try again. My knees were screaming at me during the class, but I just have to keep a good mindset and my knees will follow (I hope). Whew!! What a workout! My cardiovascular system was definitely jumpstarted. I got my 10,000 steps in today, too. So, all in all; it was a good day.

Very true, but from all I've heard about Zumba groups, they are very supportive of the people each doing their own level of movements. Hopefully that is true of this group. Unfortunately, you only look 35 so they probably expect you to lead the class! lol! Having fun while moving is a good enough goal I think. Maybe starting with some beginner videos at home and working up to a class level would work?

It was hard at first but later on I would take 2 classes back to back. I have Zumba on dvd-zumba pants that I would love to be able to wear, and the Zumba things that look like dumbbells.. Couldn't get into the dvds. Keep goin"
