Well, I keep falling of the horse... but haven't given up yet (won't)!
Pam - Can I add a salad (those packed salads from the groceries store to the program)? I ask because when I fall off the horse, rather than having junk food, I grab a salad... along with other fruits to snack on.
I think since I am now walking 6-7 miles a day, I am getting hungry more and as long as I am chewing on something (a peach, apple or hummus dip) I am ok... Not sure what else to make of it.
Anyway, here's a quick update on my weight: Before Denver - 314 lbs. Post Denver - 311 lbs. Last week - 304 lbs. This morning - 299.6 lbs.
I don't weigh all the time... about once a week. So now that I am just under 300, I vow (once again) to NEVER go back to that number. My goal now is to lose 100 lbs to get me to ONE-derland... my mini goal is to lose 50 by June 1st. I think that's doable with 2 months under my belt.
That's my update for now. Off to my first walk of the day and hopefully Cambridge all the way! :-)

Wow! You're doing great Sonali!
The only recommendation that I would give you is to give up the fruit for now. It's basically just a lot of sugar and that will leep you hungry and wanting more. The salad is fine, but watch for those add ins like dried fruit (same as candy) and grain based foods like croutons or other crunchies. Green veg and protein and healthy fats are your go to. Staying in Ketosis and fat burning requires carbohydrate and insulin lowering. Lowering you insulin levels (not necessarily blood glucose) will signal your body to stop storing fat in your liver, muscles, etc, and start using it for fuel. By adding sugar carbs you are raising your insulin and continuing in a fat storage mode. The only way to reprogram that system is by limiting carbohydrate and the level in the Cambridge achieves that balance. Adding just leafy greens, protein, and healthy fats, (preferably no seed/vegetable oils) you will stay in ketosis and keep appetite under control as well as those fruit cravings. Often times those grocery store salads come with the add ins in a separate packet. Look for that and then just don't use it unless it is cheese or nuts.
