Day 2 Weigh IN : ( Posted by MaryL on 6/12/2019, 2:00 pm I am not happy with the numbers on the scale but it makes no sense to avoid the hard truth. I have to weigh in to have a starting point. Seeing the numbers gives me something specific to work for. I am happy I haven't reached a point that the only way to weigh in is on a shipping scale. I had a friend at work that could only weigh himself on a freight scale. He eventually had bariatric surgery and happily has taken back his life. The hard truth is I can't waste another minute being as fat and as miserable as I am. Being obese is a great excuse to avoid life but I have to deal with letting go of the wall I have built around myself. Seeing those numbers means it will be the last time I have to see those numbers. So last night when I got home I was weak-I first turned to guacamole, then had asparagus instead of junk food, and some water with lemon juice and stevia in it. The asparagus helps eliminate water weight and has very few calories so I don't feel too bad about that. Day 2 first shake of the day and black coffee. Everyone have a good day.

My stomach is growling and I am salivating. I brought a small cluster of cauliflower flowerette as back up in case I want to cave in and eat something- I do not want to have the greasy cheeseburgers and other stuff they are serving tonight. I keep thinking -RESIST! RESIST!

Turning to guac and asparagus is way better than junk food so already your mind is on the right track. I am still going strong (thanks to you)so far so good. Haven't deterred to food yet. How much do you weigh, if you don't mind me asking? I know this is a sensitive question... I used to not want to talk about numbers before but for some reason now I like to say it and even here I'll share it as progress because then I can always look back and see how far I've gotten (this is my ONEderland talk when I get there LOL) anyway, I like sharing my weight as a way of ownership and knowing that I can do it and will! I know everyone is different so please do not share if you don't want to... if it helps great, if not, just keep doing what you do and post... your words have saved me this week and I am very appreciative. I am 5 feet 2 and should weigh 115-130. If I can get to 150 I will be happy but need to get to a healthy weight badly. Thank you for the words of encouragement. Not always sole source. Chocolate microwave cake and recently have been making the oat cookie I also eat celery. Keep going. We are all here for you.

February to June is a long journey with lots of twists and turns. I am amazed and really admire people who can stay with their plan for months. I like the microwave cake and the oat cookie- I just ordered more oats for those days I want to chew. Thank you for the kind words and the support. I hope you come and share with us more often. Now at 239.8. Would like to get down eventually to 145. I also want to get breast reduction surgery when I am close to my goal. I am getting a hip replacement in August. I have a Bar Mitzvah in October and my birthday and I hope to be in wonderland by then.
