i really felt with you when i read your message.
please take some comfort in the knowledge that there are so many others out there like you and no we are all no weirdos..
i am only in my late 20s but feel that this "condition" will never go away because we cannot reverse the consciousness of it.
if we could erase the knowledge of it ever having been a problem then we would be as carefree as babies :-)
my boyfriend knows about it as well but apart from him being more considerate regarding giving me some space when needed it doesn't cure anything. it doesn't mean i am now able to go with him nearby. he is also very "outward" with his bodily functions, the extreme opposite of me, so i think he doesn't REALLY realize the full extent of the problem.
i am still being pestered by a family member to come and visit for a couple of days (they live hours away)..she doesn't get the message..i keep saying politely yes sometime (i can't say no i will never visit you because i have some issues ;-) can i) but she keeps asking and asking...and asking.
ah well i just have to keep saying yes sometime like a broken record.
anyway i wish you and everyone else on here a happy new year and hope you will have moments when you can forget about the toilet issue and just enjoy life, friends and whatever makes you happy.
