having written a book about shy bowel and watched my shy bowel get noticeably better and then a lot worse again, i'm starting to see that for me, shy bowel (and shy bladder) are part of a deeper socially anxious personality.

unfortunately the drugs i've been prescribed seem to only exacerbate my shy bowel (anti-depressants, etc).
