We fished Aropaoanui Saturday morning, good size swell coming in but it was easily fishable and the water was clean. We were getting some good hits but sadly nothing was sticking... about lunchtime some big clumps of weed started coming from up north somewhere and effectively ruined any chance of staying there.
Drove round to Haumoana stopping in at all the beaches on the way and only saw Sue Lawson at Gill road who reported she'd been there all day for not even a bite. The water locally was dirty in close, decided Awatoto was the cleanest of the local beaches, fished there for no result.
Couldn't make it out this morning and had no way of getting to the weigh in, hope you all had better luck than I.
