I believe the subject raised my Judda deserves a thread my itself. Anyone who has walked the beaches after a large surfcasting competition would be horrified at the rubbish left behind by anglers and their companions, and this does little for our reputation.

I once raised this issue in a Whakatane newspaper after a large competition was held on the Matata straits. The organising club were not at all happy, especially with the photos I submitted. However, after that the club always had beach patrols after a comp to clean up the litter.

Well done Judda was raising an embarrassing issue, this is a the first step in the right direction. Turning a blind eye will achieve nothing.
