It wasn't aimed at anyone, what I have written is factual and on record as it made the front page of the Whakatane newspaper. As judda reported, beer cans and empty bottles were much in evidence, not nice.

Anglers, especially surfcasters and those who fish the wharves, are very much in the eye of the public, bait wrappers and discarded nylon are a pain to see. I am sure there are others who pick up nylon and take it away for proper disposal, it's not nice to see a bird with it's legs entangled in line.
