I'm looking to get away from Auckland for a couple of days with my sons for some serious fishing. The overnight stuff I read about where everyone has a good time, and eats bacon and eggs for breakfast etc. and catches heaps of fish. We won't have a beach access vehicle but don't mind walking. Does Port Waikato sound ok, I hear there's a good campground there. Not necessarily just now but maybe in a couple of months.
