Thanks for that bit of information, Phill, I have never read or heard of that before, and it's such a good idea.

I run my traces through plastic tubing and tangles are not normally a problem. If a trace does do 'the twist' then it's easy to release the 'sea harvester' clip and then the tangle can be attacked from both ends. I would guess the traces I use would be about seventy-five centimetres in length but I hasten to add I can see a lot of merit in keeping the traces so short.
