I think it's pretty fair to say this weekend the rods and gear can be left safely in storage. At present, weather conditions are producing more wind than a dozen good curries.

On the positive side this first real cold snap of winter could prove to advantageous once the sea relaxes and becomes fishable. Colder water temp's will get red cod and spiny backs closer to surf-caster's offerings. Hopefully all bodes well for the next month or two at least.
