Thanks for that gary that just prompted me to forget about the alliance reel then wifey wants me to hurry up with a new reel so she can fish with my old surfcaster might even ask her if she can wait a little longer so i can get the new spinfisher she knows i want one then she can use the shimano aerlex i bought a couple of weeks back. out of curiosity is the spool on the spinfisher V suitable for casting out a long distance (probably a dumb question on my part)or would it be restrictive to distances for casting off the beach?
