found out what was chaffing the mono it is the plastic cover that the black magic trace ono comes in there is a few years of grit build up on the edges so have binned the lot as it was also looking a bit cracked so it was not the crane swivel causing th eissue at all I should have noticed or felt it in teh first place. Time to get a new lot of 60Lb trace line this week for the backbones and some more line for the new reel that is arriving on courier tomorrow.
