Great going, Te-Hori. There is always something extra special in working something out for yourself and it proves to be successful.

Although I use floats on a long line, I prefer to keep the bait on the bottom when surfcasting. I usually do very well in the gurnard department and I am confident this is because my bait is hard on the seabed. If I use floats on the trace I find my gurnard numbers drop but my catches of Kahawhai increase.
