I reakon the inside bay up this way may be getting a back draft in cold currents. It seems Waihua south has copious snapper, and north of Waihua inside the bay is friggin full of winter nasties still? Even with the kahawai, out of Waihua there is big work ups everywhere, and that continues through to Mohaka, yet north of the mouth is a complete different story. Hopefully it is just a current thing and it improves.

By the sounds of it Kane, that was a fantastic afternoon at Mohaka you had, thats good to hear. Longlines are bagging a few along Whirinaki too, should see some more taken on rods. Good year for biggies so far
