Both of my surfcasters are fin-nor one is 13 foot 8-15kg the 14 foot 6 is a medium action 8-12kg I have only just bought the 13 footer and have found it is a little stiffer than the biger one. I do use shock leaders anyway and learnt my lesson the hard way when I used to use spiderwire on the penn power stick I used to have without a mono leader got told it would not cut me with the 50lb stuff I was recommended to use how wrong he was.
