I once fished next to a guy at maraenui who, basically (filleted slabbed out the sides)of his skippy and sat it in a container with a grill type thing in the bottom, kinda like a drip tray.. a lot of the juices ran out but the bait lasted quite well, he got a bag limit of snapper in approx 2hrs packed up and went home happy, I just use a good chilli bin and frozen bottles of sea water with a towel over them then bait in on top, tie up and have say 10 baited traces ready to change out, this way I only open the chilli when I have to tie up more bait, be interesting to hear what others do
