I think most fish were caught in the morning at around high tide and tapered off from there, which seems fairly typical. I know the winner caught his fish in the early part of the morning and had quite a tense wait I believe.
From the evidence I've seen at club weigh ins and twilights the kahawai numbers in the bay seem to have been down a little this year. There seem to be a lot of small ones around this year as well. I think the catch reflected that.
