Thanks to H&F for hosting the evening, as Gary said we had a comfortable number of fisho's. It was amusing watching Panser reeling upside down and backwards, that will teach for casting so far.
One of the things I like about these demonstration evenings is the discussions you can have about rods and tackle, learning the requirements and subtleties in fishing methods etc in a particular area. I found it quite amusing listening to some of the preconceived opinions about the Veritas LR and how it wouldn't work with heavy line. When it was explained and Gary demonstrated the casting I believe that 99% were either convinced or converted.
I tried the SAND STUMP out on the beach in front of the Sport Fishing club rooms which has a mixture of stones, gravel and sand, with a little twisting and pumping it found its way into the sand, I was more than impressed.
