New Plymouth Hunting and Fishing have invited Gary and myself to talk at a demonstration night this evening. It will be held at the sport fishing club in the harbour. Gary will be casting the new Veritas LR and I will be talking about rigs and innovations in Surfcasting rigs and equipment. So if you have nothing better to do and you want a laugh come on down, starts at 6.00pm
Job Done! Met a bunch of really keen and interested fishermen and showed them some new product and for some of them some new ideas. It was a great night and one lucky attendee went home with a free rod.
Cast of the day went to Panser an easy 18o+ m. Thanks H and F for the chance.The snapper don't know where the car park is! Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.
Thanks for the demo's GK. If only you had a REAL reel on the demo rod. That Veritas is a really a nice piece of kitt Interesting talk by Phill. Phill you have some nifty gadgets for rig making. Well done to the GK and PK duoBorn to fish. Forced to work.
Was pleasantly surprised by the Veritas (It was VERYNICE)..Loaded really well and held its own with a Pendulum cast. Please cater for the Proper Reel users next time.
Added to the night was PK talk...interesting rigs and bling blings..Good to have had you guys over. Dont make it the last Visit. Good things come to those who bait.

Thanks to H&F for hosting the evening, as Gary said we had a comfortable number of fisho's. It was amusing watching Panser reeling upside down and backwards, that will teach for casting so far. One of the things I like about these demonstration evenings is the discussions you can have about rods and tackle, learning the requirements and subtleties in fishing methods etc in a particular area. I found it quite amusing listening to some of the preconceived opinions about the Veritas LR and how it wouldn't work with heavy line. When it was explained and Gary demonstrated the casting I believe that 99% were either convinced or converted. I tried the SAND STUMP out on the beach in front of the Sport Fishing club rooms which has a mixture of stones, gravel and sand, with a little twisting and pumping it found its way into the sand, I was more than impressed. So once again thanks Shay from H&F and all those who attended making it an excellent evening.

Thanks guys was great to finally meet the pair of you. Good turn out good info I even managed to launch a tennis ball into the crowd.
