Gary is quite correct the Penn Prevail is built for fixed spool reels not overhead. You can cast fixed spools on a free spool rod . I dispute Hanglers opinion on guides and I hardly ever have a problem with tapered leaders. A word of warning with the prevail don't thrash the cast smooth and controlled .
