We all look forward to October here in HB. Its arguably one of our best months of the year for surfcasting, or at least has been in the past.
This season however, it just hasn't fired at all.
We've just completed 3 of our 12 field weekends and there have been no Snapper or Gurnard, and only one SSH weighed.
There are no Snapper or Gurnard within surfcasting range as their has been in previous years. Yet a few of the boaties are getting good catches of Gurnard, (but several kms offshore). Its encouraging to see this, lets hope the fish venture closer to shore.
