I am new to Surf casting and have been practicing my casting at a local sports ground.There are distinct mow lines in the grass and I have been attempting to cast along one of these lines but every cast I attempt goes anywhere from 35 to 60 yards to the right of straight ahead.I am using a fixed spool reel and thought perhaps I am releasing the line too soon.
Experimenting with foot position only seems to effect the cast distance.
I realize that I'm probably committing any number or combination of errors.
I live in Marlborough, can anyone please advise where should I look for some casting tuition.
