Don't until you come to use them as bait. Cut the tentacles into sections, bait size length then freeze these sections in small zip lock bags (6 sections per bag)then freeze. Then when needed take them out, after they taw out in use a sharp pair of scissors will take off both the skin and tentacle suckers easily.
The section tubes can then be split in half or even quarters for finger sized baits.
