Skin an Octo

Whats the easiest way to skin an octopus.

The snapper don't know where the car park is!
Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.

Don't until you come to use them as bait. Cut the tentacles into sections, bait size length then freeze these sections in small zip lock bags (6 sections per bag)then freeze. Then when needed take them out, after they taw out in use a sharp pair of scissors will take off both the skin and tentacle suckers easily.
The section tubes can then be split in half or even quarters for finger sized baits.

Easier to do in a partially frozen state - as long as your fingers can handle the cold

Keeping the skin on until thawed is the easiest to do.

The best method comes from Rick (the crayman). Dip tentacles in near boing water for ten seconds. Grab the skin at the top of the tentacle and pull and it comes off like a sleeve.

Apperently not. He said that you must not leave it in the water more than 10 secs. Might need to experiment a bit.
