It was a cold morning and most of us rattled as we walked. A cold wind, sunshine, hail, rain, but a flat sea and a westerly that fired your bait well out into the surf. Awatoto was the chosen beach and 9 intrepid fishos, men and woman braved the elements to battle the cold and a mildly brown sea. The fish lay in wait for our arrival, thinking they could outsmart us.
