    im the first barstard to pick and moan at crap gear and bad management but this time i would like to high light a point and take my hat off to okuma!!

    i have been dam loyal to okuma for near on 10 years now, and have alot of money worth of okuma stuff, resently ive had a bad run with reels with resent post i feel i may have put a few people off buying okuma gear from me moaning about the troubles i have had but...... i tell ya what okuma have come to the party every time!! and replaced everything..... they even had parts for a okuma fina reel i had witch was 7 years old!!

    i took my rod in the other day, i had had a solaris for about a year and for the best part served me very well!! ....anyway after about 20 mahanga eagle rays and a few others here and there, two fuji guides had line indents and where starting to affect my line, on further inspection the butt section had a crack down the back of it starting from the top where the second peice of the 3 piece rod meets the butt

    in my opinion the guides had to be replaced and a new butt section? probably could have been repaired?? KILWELL WOULD HAVE the mid section was fine! 3 days later okuma no questions asked replaced the whole rod!!!! !!! i tell ya what it was like Christmas i didn't expect that, its realy nice to be looked after when the shit hits the fan and its great of okuma to do that!!

    my reason for putting this on the board is so others know that okuma ARE reliable and DO come to the party, its peice of mind knowing that... the solaris is a great rod and probably the best value for money on the local market.... im really stoked with that outcome and have typed a letter of appreciation to send tomorrow.
