Hi Gary I was considering useing a 5 1/4oz Jig head with some of the softbaits that are now available,being that wieght could use it with a surfcasting rod.Cast it out then retrieve very slowly could get good distance as I can get approx 150yds with a 5 1/4oz breakout sinker.I think that a Jig head of that wieght would work well with those Gulp crabs that you use.Would like your opinion on this as you are one of the more knowledgable ones that uses the fantastic plastic.
