    Hi All

How many of you guys get frustrated where you are fishing a shallow shelving beach at high tide. No matter how far you can cast you just can't get out there where the fish are. Wind in your face, to much swell. This beach has to be sand tho.

I have a method that will get your your line out to the previous low tide mark, and you can use as many hooks as you like. And you still play and land the fish on your surfcaster. Then send it back out again for more fun. Ideal for night fishing, and day of course. If you prefer, once you hook up you can do a oncer. Or just keep catching fish.

Not a kite, nor a kontiki. Just something I schemed up years ago which I was going to use at Raglan.

Its not patientable, as there is nothing to it. I used it a couple of times and it works. And then I forgot all about it. I was 24 years old then. Full of idea's. And tonite it came back to me. When I posted the Lemon Bay Post. (And now I am 60)

    Its so bloody simple.

I have never seen this idea before on any net site.

The cost is minimal, under $20.00. A clue you need two rods and two reels. And two rod holders. And most of us have those. It is still sporting, you actually hook the fish.

This is just a teaser to see if anybody can catch onto it. There are a few clues there. I will reveal all tho in due course.

One downfall is I may be accussed of destroying high tide surf casting as we know it. And as it works I may contribute to declining fish stocks.

I kid you not it works.

Why arent I using it, well today before I went to that nice calm Lemon Bay I went to the exposed North Beach, with the wind in my face and a real slop, no swell I just didn't get out there. And then remembered that great tactic from so many years ago.

    Happy guessing.

And if somebody already uses it. Well I thought of the idea 36 years ago, and it worked.

    Cheers Trev
