We all have our ways of bringing "fish to the fry" And i'm sure most of us want to be still catching in 20 years, it comes down to preserving future stocks to a level that future generations can enjoy (keeping in mind the growth of this sport ) To preserve present and future stocks we have limits in place but my question is how do we know these limits are working now before its to late? how do we gauge the stocks? Of course this also includes commercial fishing as well. I know what would do it a blanket ban for all fishing for 5 years but none of us want this but sadly if we don't do something now it may come to this. Just how do you gauge the fishery correctly so you can set limits....because what i see at the moment the limits have been wrong from the outset - my view is the limits have remained the same while the fish have become less?
