The kahawai were schooling off Haumoana today, although not in big numbers and some fish were small. I hiked down to the southern side of the Clive mouth tonight for one 40cm kahawai (Boris the cat is happy). No snapper. Should I have gone to Ocean Beach? It must have been flat.
