What a day! Archived Message Posted by GaryK on 12/11/2011, 7:32 pm Just home after a competition day for Pania. (Its still going till midday tomorrow). WE have had enough for now. We cruised the coast admiring the awesome three metre waves that crashed in from Clifton north to Tangoio. We even fished at Tangoio for an hour but the weed (and lack of fish) drove us away. WE headed for Mohaka. At least, even if its rough there is seldom a weed problem. Well, it was rough, two metres with three metre sets. We fished for three hours without a bite, lost one set of gear on a clump of weed?? and used half a cray fish for bait. Nothing. We headed home. Will have a look around in the morning. The swell has already dropped a couple of centimetres!
