Lemon/Rig Territory or Not Archived Message

    Hi All

Sea has been a tad rough down here the last few weeks. So decided to try a bit of Estaury fishing.
I was out on the sandy spit shown in the Google Earth pic. Had Prawns on. Trying for Lemons. Had a couple of hits, but no take. Could have been Kahawai maybe.

I have never had much faith in fishing estuarys, so wasn't feeeling too positive.

Has anybody had any luck in targeting Lemons in Estuarys or got any advice. I realise night fishing would have more chance. I just need a shot of good ole posivitey and I shall return.

Opinions gratefully received. I do know the flounder netters get Kahawai in their nets. And on the occassions I have gone down there for a flounder spear, have seen heaps of small Paddle Crabs flying past on the incmoming tide.

Great place for cockles too at low tide.
