Made you look!. Well not a Snapper, but the biggest conger ive ever caught. I checked the weight un-officially it went 9.1kgs, before i kicked it back into the tide. Good tip over, the big thumping, on craytail, expectations were good Snap or big Moki. Stinkin Conger. Caught a couple of nice fat Kahawai and some lemmys aswell. Then nipped out for the high tide this morning and it was Kahawai city a dozen fatties, and a lemmy, with the last fish which i went out to target a 2kg Trevally, so that was a good result and a busy morning. Considering the big wind slop and wind getting strong onshore. So theres a bit of inspiration for those fishing the local beaches of Whirinaki. Plenty of mullet and small Kahawai , so the Kingfish cant be far away north of napier.
