Well i soaked baits and my grand total for the comp was zip 0. However was next to a winner of 3rd Kahawai i think or 4th. Next time eh. I caught the competition winner later that night. Too late to take the 6grand on offer for the heaviest snap, but its tasting bloody nice as i type going down with my cold heineken . My pb off matata beach a 4.7kg snapper that fought like snot for freedom. Made the trip, aswell as another 11 nice 1.5 to 2kg snaps. Tried sliding live bait down tarawera but alas no kingfish on this occasion.
