Big Snap

I heard a 25 lber caught at east clive last night. anyone got any more details?
was it on the rods?

Just back from a trip up north. In Wairoa and Gisborne the only big snapper on a rod I heard about was James Benge fish from Mahia.
They are still catching red cod at Whakaki and only kahawai on the rods at Whakamahi.

Maybe Saturday night when 100 good baits hit the water at Tahaenui there will be some action.

The snapper don't know where the car park is!
Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.

Should be good for the weekend. Chuck these dates and times in for rod caught snaps Naki Sunday gone 1130am 17lb 430pm 25lb tues 4pm dropped in the wash

. Not me all i got was a farkin coootttaaa

. Several getting caught on tikis locally, and in dingys stray lining baits off Nthshore and leQuesne road. Johnny on the spot man.

I picked up a good sized trevally (2kg +) at Whirinaki last night, so there is some good local fishing as well

The trevs were krilling coupla nights ago at Whirinaki. Positive fishing signs eh. Im expecting some good bags of fish this weekend from Tahaenui, looks good write thru that stretch. Roll on 3pm sat avo
