Porangahau Saturday

Sue Rex and I fished Porangahau Beach today in prime conditions from 8am through to 6.30pm. Apart from a 2 hour bite time 9am to 11am (note Logan) It was soul destorying. Overall we caught 15 kahawai, but not all were

weighers in fact not even half were weighers.
Hoping for some more action from bigger fish in the morning. Ringing around locally it seems that fishing was tough today. That will mean that they will be hungry in the morning.

The snapper don't know where the car park is!
Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.

Had a good session here over night with bite for about 2 hours 11pm - 1am this morning.New Fin-nor 16' got a couple the 1st being 8lb,nice 1st fish on the new rod.5 snapper & 1 small eagle ray caught.

I think it was pretty tough most places. It took me 16hrs fishing to get 3 Kahawai

Had a good aerobatic eagle ray on at 5am today, but nothing else.

Came on bite hour before low to a hour after

Nice to have ,fishing been very slow at best last couple of months.

We shot up to mokau last night few ky around but realy wanted to get out Thursday night but no. Let us know if any of you did.
