Why its called fishing.

Well just home from a complete blank. Five hour drive, (2.5 hours each way) 6 hours sat watching motionless rod tips. Not even a rattle. I had hoped this new beach for me would be my new daytime (in the winter) Gurnard beach but how wrong I was. I even moved 200 yards down the beach which meant an even longer slog back over the loose shingle, but nothing. I kept thinking I should have driven to the next beach but after getting up at 12.45 am on Friday to watch England V Wales then a full day at work I was about on my limit.

Yeah depressing when that happens, and it happens quite often these days.
Of course someone you know will go there the next day and fill the bin just to rub salt into the wound....

The act of fishing should never be confused with catching fish..

Until these northerlies arrive!
BOP faces its own fishing challenges, at least we have some inshore reef systems that give the fish some sort of protection more than it seems MPI want to give us at the moment.
But good luck to the HB as you fight to try and get back a half decent fishery, keep it going against those who only want to destroy it for their own selfish greed.
Anglers get behind those who are trying.

Its certainly proving to be a continual battle, but I can only repeat what one of the members said to MPI after as meeting. "We wont go away....."
I see its become a political issue now. Election year will be interesting I hope
