Red Hot Red Cod rig

Blinged up floating red cod rig. The addition of the rattle makes sure that the cod find your bait.

Red cod heaven last Sunday. When they're hungry they'll eat anything that's not nailed down. You could have dipped your toe in the water and come back with a red on it

Havnt you heard Gary, we are all mass murderers and drug addicts up this way. Hell we are voted the murder capital of NZ and then the very next day what do you know. Another dam murder and guess what it could all get a hell of a lot worse if the red cod where introduced

And Tokoroa has just been awarded " Best town in the North Island" It may have something to do with location and local house prices.

Just imagine it though. 90 Mile Beach. Early morning and there is red tinge to the water. Your first cast elicits A BITE! the rod tip dips a little and you strike!.Theres a little weight. Trevally? snapper? kahawai? no its a red cod and a beauty too. Over a Kilo! You wash him in and quickly unhook him, knowing that there will probably be a few hundred others out there waiting for your bait. You need to get the line out quick. They may only be there for six months.

"Breaking News" MAF report huge stranding of Red Cod on Ninety Mile Beach. MAF, Marine Biologists perform autopsy's on the fish, to try find the cause of this unique event. It soon leaks out, that each cod is carrying a zip lock bag containing 31 grams of methamphetamine. A MAF spokesperson said, "Well we aren't sure what is going on here. Red Cod are known to eat anything. But we have contacted Customs to become involved as this may another ploy to land P, on our coastal shores in the far north.

Locals are flocking to the beach in great numbers with their surf casting rods. The MAF spokesperson, commented that, those in the far north value their kaimoana, and this is seen as bounty from the Sea God

Time to go fishing again
