In other news, got a letter from the passport people. They say that they've been unable to contact me and ask me to contact them.
I've received no such telephone call from them. Just get it done. Everything was sent and it's all above board.
I mean, why the hassle? It's not like the citizenship application where they can decline you for no reason at all. I already went through that and they approved the application. Everything was above board. With the passport, this should be straight forward. I submitted all of the documentation and the fee. So just get on with it.
Then you have to have an interview to get the passport. This must be the only country on earth where they require an interview to get a passport. If you're applying for a passport, you're a citizen. This is a straight forward administrative matter. Check the documents and if it's all above board, send the passport. What do I need an interview for? On what possible grounds can you deny a citizen a passport?
It's allegedy to prove identity but what do you think all of those documents were for? I have the naturalisation certificate, two foreign passports, current passport photos, a reference, I mean come on. Who can fake all of that?
Let's see...other news? I don't think so. Oh, there's this. I've been listening to some "Stone Cold" Steve Austin podcasts lately. He's surprisingly good. Doesn't ask the same boring questions.
I particularly enjoyed his Stephen Regal interview. I listened to the full two hours and was riveted.

And he doesn't even really talk about his WCW or WWF days. It's almost entirely his World of Sports or whatever and his time in Germany. That should be boring as all get out but it was fascinating stuff.
Also some good insights into his hilarious match against Goldberg. You have to wait until about the 50 minute mark in part two. Anyway, that match can be seen here:
